Matakåta has been a leading boutique hire and events provider in and around Sydney since
2016. After weathering the pandemic storms of 2020 and 2021, we have seen a huge explosion of growth in the event sector and demand for our products has never been higher.


As our business continues to grow exponentially, we are looking to capitalise on a key

insight we have taken from our years in the business - that identifying and partnering with high-quality vendors is hugely beneficial for all parties involved (clients, venues, other vendors, and ourselves). To identify, nurture and monetize those partnerships, we have created our Partnership Referral Scheme.

As a small-medium sized business, our vendor partnerships are massively important to us not just as a revenue stream but also a means for us to continue to deliver a high-quality, personal service to our clients. We pride ourselves on our customer service and our ability to deliver epic events no matter what circumstances mother nature or lady luck may throw at us!

Existing realtionships with vendors as well as insider knowledge of venues and great working relationships with their owners, managers and staff make our processes so much smoother, allowing us to deliver on our commitments to our clients. We are all about putting smiles on faces and that includes yours!

Our Instagram-friendly tents are a huge point-of-difference for clients looking to differentiate their event from the mainstream. Made by craftsmen in Europe and the US, rather than in a factory in China, they are guaranteed to look spectacular at your venue.

We utilise our extensive network of vendors, hire companies and wedding coordinators throughout NSW to ensure that all types of requirements across all types of events can be met.

We recognise and fully respect that each venue has it's own set of processes, rules and procedures that must be abided by - being trusted onsite is hugely important to us and ensures smooth delivery and execution.

The great outdoors is our office and workplace and it must be respected as such. Our installation processes and commitment to rubbish removal and the environment ensure that your venue is left in the same beautiful state we found it.

We at Matakåta strongly believe that once you see our tents, you will fall in love! However we also recognise that trust and willingness to promote our services to your clients should be rewarded. This is why we came up with our Referral Scheme, a process that allows us to reward partner vendors for providing us opportunities to showcase our products.

Once you sign-up to our scheme, for every client you directly refer to us who books an event, we will pay you 10% of the final booking amount (ex-GST) as a referral fee.


  • You refer your lovely client to Matakåta and the referral is logged in our system.

  • We work with the client on quoting, invoicing, layouts, logistics etc.

  • The client pays us a 25% deposit to lock-in their booking.

  • Two weeks before the event, the client pays us the 75% balance.

  • Event bump-in and out - we make the magic happen!

  • Once the event has been successfully delivered, the referral is marked as payable in our system.

  • We supply a quarterly report of payable referrals.

  • Based on that report, you invoice us the quarterly amount and it is transferred to your nominated account.
